Describe your experience so far as a single father? How has it impacted you?
My experience as a single father has been a challenge. Ups and Down but i wouldn’t change being a father (dad) for anything in this world. My daughter has changed me for the better.
What struggles have you encountered as a single father and how have you gotten past them?
The struggles I encountered as a single father, were struggling to support myself and my daughter. I got past my struggles by starting my own business/brand to help and assist fathers with fatherhood.
What have you learned about yourself during this journey?
I learned that no matter what you can’t give up! there is no giving up in fatherhood.
In what ways do you feel you can grow as a single father?
I feel as a single father I can grow to become better. a better person, a better son, a better father better overall.
If you could give advice to other single fathers out there, what would it be?
The advice I give to single fathers is: Know your rights as a father, keep all receipts, Cherish each moment first and foremost. If the father is not married id recommend getting 50/50 Custody.
Did being a single father lead to your start of Black Father Nation?
Yes I started my brand/movement Black Father Nation: To help and assist fathers with fatherhood. Resources, Jobs, Housing, Mental Health issues and MORE.
What are you future goals for Black Father nation?
Future goals for BFN: I want to provide housing for fathers in need. I’m working on a Podcast so fathers can chime in and listen or even join the discussion. I would like a Hotline # for fathers to call if they need any assistance. I would love to start traveling with fathers and kids Father trips Disney world, Dubai ETC.
If you could write a short letter to your dad starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?
Dear Father, Thank you for having me. I’m thankful to be your son. I’m thankful to have you as a role model. I wouldn’t pick anybody else in this world to call my dad. First hand you showed me what my duties are as a father. Your my go-to when I need anything or even have a question/concern. Dear Father thank you for being the best dad in the world.
