We create safe spaces for black men that foster community, growth, and healing.
Our stories, content, resources, and events aspire to uplift and equip Black Men/Fathers with the knowledge and opportunities needed to show up at their full potential. We help create engaged communities by activating our 4 Pillars of Mental, Intellectual, Financial, and Physical Health for Black Men.
WHY WE STARTED
With over 20+ years of friendship, our Co-Founders Jesse Alex and Lamar Johnson Jr. turned their pain of not having real father experiences growing up into "Dear Fathers", The Premiere Media Platform for Black Fatherhood. Heading into their late 20's, conversations about who they were/wanted to be as black men led to the passion of storytelling that would ultimately shift the culture and provide black men/fathers with a safe space to control their own narratives While Jesse does not yet have children, Lamar is a father of two beautiful girls.
SEEN ON

MOVING THE
CULTURE FORWARD
Our mission is to create an ecosystem of black men that fosters community and overall development for black families. Our goal is to advance generational healing in the black community through our storytelling, exclusive content, events, programming, and resources that strengthen the black man.
OUR COMMUNITY
OF BLACK MEN
As black fathers/men, we need to connect, share experiences, share expertise, hear stories, and tell our own. We need to know that we are not alone, so here at Dear Fathers, we've created multiple safe spaces for black men to thrive without the judgement and stigma's the world has tried to place on us.
