Welcome to our Safe Space for Black Men to unpack various mental health topics through our group virtual and in-person initiatives. Our goal is to increase awareness, access + acceptance of mental wealth amongst black men while building community and brotherhood. Since May of 2020, we've connected over 2,500 black men to mental health specialists leading them to growth, healing, and the prioritization of therapy in their lives. Click the link below to register for our monthly Zoom sessions.
We curate safe spaces for Black Men to fellowship, grow, and heal together while unpacking various mental health topics led by black male therapists and/or mental health advocates in virtual or in-person group setting.
Togetherness
As black men, we're not alone and community matters. Join STR8 Mental to hear and learn from guys nationally on their journey to a better mental health state. Through our initiative, we create spaces for brotherhood.
Services
Through STR8 Mental, we use our data to partner with companies, brands, and organizations in order to connect black men to mental health education and healing.
WE PARTNERED WITH THE ATLANTA HAWKS FOR A CONVO ON FATHERHOOD & MENTAL HEALTH
We partnered with the Atlanta Hawks for a pregame Men's Den panel discussion on Fatherhood and Mental Health hosted by James Meeks, Co-Host of the Dear Fathers Podcast and Moderated by Dr. Alduan Tartt. Our three panelists included Stuey Rock of Hot 107.9 ATL, Ryan Wilson who is the Founder of The Gathering Spot, and legendary actor/comedian Carl Anthony Payne II.
HELPING YOUNG BLACK BOYS UNDERSTAND WHAT MENTAL HEALTH IS
We create safe spaces for young black boys to learn from black men who are leaders in their perspective communities. During these discussions, kids learn/talk about everything from having a father figure, growing up fatherless, mental health, financial health, business/entrepreneurship, and much more.
