MATERNAL & INFANT MORTALITY

Black women are up to three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women. In our region, Black infants die at nearly twice the rate of white infants. Dads to Doulas confronts these deadly disparities by equipping Black fathers with the knowledge and tools to protect their families. Through real-time learning and honest conversation, we unpack how systemic racism endangers Black mothers and babies, and build a community of support that centers healing, advocacy, and thriving.

UPCOMING WORKSHOP (INDY)

Join us on Saturday, June 6th in Indianapolis for an in-person Dads to Doulas workshop as we unpack how fathers and partners experience the birthing process. Together we’ll explore strategies for healing, supporting loved ones, and advocating in the moment and beyond.

UPCOMING COHORT (MAY 2026)

Join us from May to June 2026 for a virtual Dads to Doulas cohort for black men. Use the link below to sign up. Once you've signed up, you'll be invited to the classroom to join the rest of your classmates and gather updates about the upcoming sessions. We look forward to growing with you!

I feel that this course is great, it bridges a gap that allows Fathers to be able to stand in a place of confidence. A position that is backed by knowledge that has been gained during this course. I believe that this course gives black and brown people exactly what we need to be amazing advocators, and protectors of our women.

COHORT 2 MEMBER

A bridge for fathers to stand in a place of knowledge-backed confidence. It’s exactly what Black and Brown families need to be strong protectors.

COHORT 4 MEMBER

This course is great and very informative. I have appreciated the deeper look into the history of pregnancies and grand midwives. This has all given me a deeper respect for the women in my life especially my wife who is currently pregnant with baby #2.

COHORT 1 MEMBER

So far, I feel the course has been both informative and eye-opening. It’s helped me understand the deep historical and social contexts surrounding reproductive health, especially in marginalized communities.
