Will Adams Sr. Talks Tha Village Podcast, A Tribe Called Dad & More

Tell us more about who you are and what you do?

I’m a father first, husband, and the founder of Tha Village Podcast and Tha Village Network. I create spaces where fathers—especially Black fathers—can speak freely, grow, and build community. What I do is bigger than content… it’s about impact, education, and creating real solutions for families navigating life, especially in the autism community.

What inspired you to start the Tha Village Podcast platform?

Tha Village was born from a need. Too many fathers were suffering in silence—no safe space, no guidance, no real conversations. I wanted to create a platform where there’s no judgment, no “right or wrong” answers—just real dads sharing real experiences, especially those raising children on the spectrum.

Tell us more about A Tribe Called Dads and what inspired that?

A Tribe Called Dads aligns with the same mission—community, connection, and accountability among fathers. It’s about breaking isolation and building a brotherhood where men can lean on each other, grow, and lead their families stronger. That collaboration represents unity in fatherhood.

How would you say both of these platforms are impacting the community?

We’re changing lives by normalizing real conversations—mental health, autism, parenting struggles, and wins. We’re giving fathers tools, resources, and most importantly… a voice. Families are finding support, and dads are realizing they’re not alone.

How have these platforms impacted the man you are today?

They’ve made me more intentional. More patient. More aware. When you carry a mission like this, you’re forced to grow. I’ve become a better leader, a better listener, and most importantly—a better father.

Who are you as a Father?

I’m present. I’m learning. I’m evolving.

I’m the father who’s going to fight for my child, advocate, and never stop showing up—no matter what that looks like. I lead with love, but I also lead with purpose.

How has starting your organization impacted who you are as a dad?

It made me realize that fatherhood is bigger than my household. It’s about community. It’s about making sure other kids and other dads have what they need too. It’s given me perspective—and responsibility.

How can we collectively change the narrative around Black fatherhood?

By showing up and telling the truth.

We highlight the present fathers, the involved fathers, the ones doing the work. We build platforms, support each other, and stop letting the world define us. We define us.

Define both what legacy and having a village mean to you?

Legacy is what lives on when we’re gone—values, impact, and how we made people feel.
Tha Village is the support system that helps raise, guide, and protect our families. Nobody is meant to do this alone. When we move as a village, we all win.

Tell people what’s next for you, how they can follow you, etc?

What’s next is growth—expanding Tha Village Network, more partnerships, more resources, and bigger conversations around autism and fatherhood.
