What does being a father mean to you?

Life or death of the family tree.

Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.

My father worked a lot but always made time to let us know that we all were important to him and created a space for us to develop a relationship with him and each other.

What things did you take from your experience growing up into your own fatherhood journey?

I learned that being a father is not a one dimensional responsibility. There are several faces and hats to being a father.

Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey? If so, explain.

I have recently gone through a divorce.

What advice would you give others new on their fatherhood journey?

Attempt to become the best version of yourself because that’s who your children will watch and emulate.

If you could write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?

I know that you had it hard. I appreciate you for not giving up.
