What things did you take from your experience growing up into your own fatherhood journey?
You have to understand when it comes to being a father and a man of a household especially being black there’s a lot of commitment and over standing that comes with the job not only with your children but with your partner as well. It’s one thing to finally have a 2 parent home, but it’s a blessing to be raised in a 2 parent home full of love. Money isn’t everything but TIME is
Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey?
Yes I have had many obstacles in this fatherhood journey, my biggest obstacle was realizing that the mother of my daughter and I weren’t meant to be with eachother even tho we made a child together and I believe that’s EVERYONES hardest pill to swallow. Understanding that sometimes the first person you try with isn’t always going to be the one you stay with I’m perfectly fine with that I found my place with someone but everybody else …
What advice would you give others new on their fatherhood journey?
Fatherhood is a blessing ur time isn’t really in ur hands anymore life becomes more about settinthat foundation for your family, father hood is definitely like being a mom. it isn’t over it’s never over your job never stops. So just because you failed or made a mistake this time don’t let that stop you from continuing to work becoming a better you. That’s the goal of being the parent and person you can be
If you could write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?
I wouldn’t say anything but get ya mind right don’t take the stuff u been thru out on your kids be better do better
