What does being a father mean to you?
Being a father to me means it’s no longer about you especially when you little sets of eyes watching you daily it’s about being a positive influence in your children’s life. It’s about working those long hard hours and still coming home to play action figures with your son and turning into a horse for your daughters so they can ride on your back to their tea party in the play room. Yea that’s what it’s about.
Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.
My experience with my father growing up was real good I saw a man who worked two jobs daily for twenty years but never complained about it. He taught me at a early age to be responsible. Which impacted my life tremendously to be a hard working and don’t take no shit from anybody and to be a man and stand on your own two feet. ??
What things did you take from your experience growing up into your own fatherhood journey?
You gotta get out here and bust your ass everyday not afraid to take risk because the ultimate goal for any man being able to provide good stable life for your children
Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey?
I’ve definitely had obstacles in my lifetime on my journey to fatherhood from constantly being in trouble with the law court cases jail time. I had a long uphill battle with my sons mom with is first born. Lots of ups and downs but I was able to get full custody of my son and get him out of that toxic environment.
What advice would you give others new on their fatherhood journey?
Stay strong don’t every give up on your children no matter how hard life gets even if you and your child mother don’t work out be there for your child/children. And if you have a situation where your dealing a mom that doesn’t allow you to see your kids then you go to court and file for custody we have rights as a father always fight for your children.
If you could write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?
Dear father I just say and tell you that I’m greatly appreciative for everything you’ve done for me from showing me how to ride a bike, to cutting the grass, and letting me practice my WWE wrestling moves on you( well at least try) I thank you for being there in my life it modeled me to be the man the father I am today.❤️??
