DADS TO DOULAS ADDRESSES THE HIGH INFANT MORTALITY RATE AMONG BLACK BABIES
Dads to Doulas aims to equip black men and expectant fathers with the knowledge and skills to advocate for their families from pregnancy through infancy. By providing doula-level education, we strive to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates.
Dear Fathers recognizes the profound impact this can have on our community and strives to empower our families from the very start. Our one of a kind doula program is specifically designated to assist, encourage, support, de-stress, maintain, and educate black men and fathers in Maternal and Paternal care.
MATERNAL & INFANT MORTALITY
Black women are up to three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women. In our region, Black infants die at nearly twice the rate of white infants. Dads to Doulas confronts these deadly disparities by equipping Black fathers with the knowledge and tools to protect their families. Through real-time learning and honest conversation, we unpack how systemic racism endangers Black mothers and babies—and build a community of support that centers healing, advocacy, and thriving.
DADS TO DOULAS IS DESIGNED TO EDUCATE BLACK MEN ABOUT THE TOOLS NEEDED TO ENGAGE IN MATERNAL HEALTH SOLUTIONS.

THIS INITIATIVE REFLECTS OUR MISSION TO STRENGTHEN BLACK FAMILIES BY CENTERING FATHERS AS VITAL TO MATERNAL AND INFANT HEALTH. OUR PROGRAM IS INTENTIONALLY DESIGNED TO ASSIST, EDUCATE, ENCOURAGE, AND UPLIFT BLACK MEN THROUGH EVERY STEP OF THE PERINATAL JOURNEY.
