What does being a father mean to you?

Being a Father of four adult daughters has been the most challenging and rewarding experience in my life.

Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.

My father was murdered when I was 2 years old. I had brothers, uncle’s and other men in my life who made sure I had a fair chance to succeed in my life.

What things/tools/gems did you take from your experience growing up into your Fatherhood journey today?

As a father of four adult daughters I am blessed because having daughters has made a better father and human being. I worked in the Criminal Justice System for 20yrs and K-12 Education for 10yrs.

Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey? If so, explain.

I have had many obstacles during my journey as a father, I look at life through a totally different lense because of my professional experiences and this has allowed me to always make the necessary adjustments as a father for my daughters in rearing them.

What advice would you give other Fathers on their journey?

My advice to all fathers is simple we must always make adjustments because adjustments keep us current.

If you could write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?

I would tell my father, Thank you for the time I had with you because I turned out to become a decent human being and an asset to the world.
