What does being a father mean to you?

It means my son gets to see my heart, I can father from a place, he needs and not what I didn’t receive.

Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.

My Dad was amazing when he was there, wasn’t drinking and before my my parents got divorced. It impacted me because I wanted to do different, more.

What things/tools/gems did you take from your experience growing up into your Fatherhood journey today?

Therapy, counseling, a lot of prayer and mostly trust my Dad voice.

Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey? If so, explain.

Yes, always wanting to be do it perfectly, not trusting my voice apart from his mom.

What advice would you give other Fathers on their journey?

Trust your voice, father from what your child needs, not what you think they need. Do everything early on to establish that bond.

If you could write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?

Dear Father, I forgive you for leaving. I what you to know I don’t hold it against you, I’ve healed. I also want to thank you for how you’ve grown, shaped how I father and for being able to help me heal.
