Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.

My father taught me everything within his capacity, and I will forever respect him for that. The greatest takeaway I have from my father is that it’s not about being perfect it’s about trying your best and being present.

What things did you take from your experience growing up into your own fatherhood journey?

My journey through fatherhood has been a roller coaster ride, and I have matured as a man along the way. Fatherhood has a way of exposing you to yourself, and through that exposure you get the opportunity to see the world from a new lens.

What advice would you give others new on their fatherhood journey?

The best advices I received and the advice I would to pass on is that there is no perfect approach to fatherhood. Be patient with your journey, and trust the process.

If you wanted to write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?

Dear Father,

I appreciate the toughness and confidence you instilled in me. I love you for pushing me, the only way you knew how, to be a better man than you.
