What does being a father mean to you?
Being a Father changed my entire life, from the moment I seen a Sonogram of my first son I knew at that moment I could no longer make foolish decisions… I promised myself, my unborn and his mother… I will forever be active, I will forever be there, death is the only that can stop from being a father.
Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.
My father was on the run from the police my entire life… I seen him during the summer and sometime Christmas… He was great father from a distance… and he taught me how to be a present father. l knew how much I wanted my dad growing up, but I also knew why I couldn’t have him either… The reason I will never leave my boys side for nothing or no one is how it impacts me today… I’m the father I always wanted.
What things did you take from your experience growing up into your own fatherhood journey?
I chose sports over the streets and the different routes my friends were taking.
Going into fatherhood I just never wanted my kids to feel like where is daddy? I wanted to take them school be there on first day… Just always be present in their lives…
Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey? If so, explain.
A lot obstacles but with faith and God on my side I’ve always been able to make things happen when it comes to my kids…
What advice would you give others new on their fatherhood journey?
Do it from your heart with pure Love and I promise it will be the greatest love you ever have and then the journey will be more Amazing… Remember they are your kids they only gonna know what you tell them and do what you teach them.
If you could write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?
Dear father, I love you thank for all you sacrifices.
