What does being a father mean to you?
To me when you become a father you get the opportunity to correct your wrongs and put a better version of yourself out in the world.
Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.
I was blessed to have my father and step father in my life for as long as I can remember. So I was raised with 2 totally different perspectives on life. I believe that helped me to be able to understand people a little better.
What things did you take from your experience growing up into your own fatherhood journey?
I feel like my experience growing up thought me how to be mindful of and pay attention to the different characteristics of mine that my child may will display at some point.
I want to be able to help cultivate the good one and help corporate the bad ones.
Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey? If so, explain.
Working on my self my self-discipline. Leave wanting to give her her everything i didn’t have. But also knowing that she can’t have everything when she wants it.
What advice would you give others new on their fatherhood journey?
Have patience, a lot of it. Also your self discipline has a direct correlation to your child’s success.
If you wanted to write a quick note to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would it be?
Dear father thank you for just being you. You may have not done everything right, but you did the best you knew how. Thank you for being the example of never giving up and never folding under pressure.
