Name: Paul Richmond City: Fort Worth TX
What does being a father mean to you?
To lead by example.
To provide, protect, and guide.
It means teaching morals and ethics.
Building your kids self-esteem
Planting seeds subconsciously of greatness as to who they are as individuals
Letting them know that they are always loved and accepted!!!
Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.
My father was a provider but that’s all.
Everything I felt I needed and missed I filled that void with Christ!!!!
I learn each day to be a father for my kids, modifying ways to understand them and their generation still while balancing tradition and principles.
What things/tools/gems did you take from your experience growing up into your Fatherhood journey today?
That time can never be given back so use it wisely
Every consequence and repercussion doesn’t have a recovery so everything isn’t worth experiencing
Self identity is very important
Resilience and purpose makes the difference
Spirituality will always help the flesh when fighting battles
Work to survive and pray to live !!!!!
Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey? If so, explain.
What advice would you give other Fathers on their journey?
Trust the process
Love your self first so you can love properly
If you could write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?
If God can forgive us, I can forgive you. Love conquers all. I understand we all have a journey and some coke quicker than others. It’s ok and as your son I will always be available!
