What does being a father mean to you?
Everything in the world. My kids come before any woman. Without them I wouldn’t be who I am today. I just want to motivate and inspire men to stop being dead beats and step up to be the great father they were destined to be. I’m no bigger or better than no other man so if I can get full custody and change my daughter life and get her out of a bad situation bc she was abused by her mother, then they can do it too. Being an active father to your kids is a must!
Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.
After the divorce he was no longer in my life. He basically abandoned me and my sister. That alone made me never want to be nothing like him. So I made a vow to myself that I’ll always be there for my kids no matter what.
What things/tools/gems did you take from your experience growing up into your Fatherhood journey today?
Stay away from anything or anyone that will put your life in jeopardy. Always stand on business. Put your family first. Protect your kids at all costs. Raise them the best way you can so they become successful.
Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey? If so, explain.
A lot! I’ve been homeless and nobody knew. My pride be too big to ask people for anything. I went broke and had a hard time bouncing back.
What advice would you give other Fathers on their journey?
Please be active in your kids life. It’s a must! They’re innocent. They deserve the world and it’s up to us to guide them through life and help them become successful leaders. It’s not hard being a father. It’s hard being a dead beat!
If you could write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?
Dear Father,
Look how far I’ve made it without you.
As a man that makes me, my mom, and kids so proud. No love lost tho
