Describe your relationship with your Father and how did that impact you?

Having a healthy relationship with my father since birth has impacted me positively. His presence alone and his respect and love to my mom impacted me more than anything. Him being a role model of the type of man I should marry was the biggest impact of them all.

What’s the best thing you’ve learned from your Father?

The Best thing I’ve learned from my Father is Respect. He taught me the importance of respecting myself and respecting others at all times! He taught me how to always keep a great name bc that’s all I have & to let my name do the speaking for me.

What struggles did you face in your relationship with your Dad and how did you get through them?

I didn’t face any struggles in my relationship with my Dad. That’s my role model. My parents are my bestfriends!

What has your relationship with your Father taught you about what to look/not look for in your partner?

Because of my Fathers actions towards my mom , taught me what to look/not to look for in my partner. Bc I had a man to show me how a women suppose to be treated, I expect that and nothing less.

How has your relationship with your Father shaped the woman you are today?

The relationship with my father has shaped the women I am today in many ways! With the main one being, knowing how to love myself & accept love from a great man. Because of my dad, I knew which men to entertain and which not too, I knew the importance of hustle and independence. Bc of my dad’s presence, I knew which man to say “I Do” too…

If you could write a short letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?

Hey dad, It’s me, your first born. Just wanted to tell you Thank you for everything you’ve done, are doing and will do for me in the future. You are one of the most important pieces to my life, and I know if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be where I am today. As I’ve matriculated through life, I’ve learned and seen so much that has purposely prepared me for my purpose! All of the hurtlers, obstacles, setbacks, success and tears has grown me into the woman I am today. I’m so happy I went through life alone, figuring it out alone, struggling alone before I got married. Why? Because I can think for myself and not be led to a dead end. Thank you for teaching me independence/how to hustle, Thank you for always supporting my dreams and thank you for always motivating me and being hard on me when I needed it most. Being able to have an active dad as a part of my life is a privilege I do not take lightly. So yes, I will always listen to you and ride for you even if I know you did the crime. Thank you for creating me, thank you for never leaving me,Lastly, Thank you for accepting my husband and supporting him as your own! Just thank you for everything dad, I love you!
