What does being a father mean to you?
A father means to me is be the example of a real man to my daughters protect them, teach them morals, respect& integrity,be attentive listen to the things they express to you as a daughter turning into a younglady..
Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.
To be honest I didn’t meet my father until I was 22 yrs old after I came home from prison. I didn’t grow up with him,but not having him in my left as a child made me the father I am to my 3 daughters that I never had
What things did you take from your experience growing up into your own fatherhood journey?
Growing into fatherhood I had to learn how to talk to my daughters cause they’re girls and they are very delicate like flowers.. My daughters showed me how to be compassionate, more understanding..
Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey?
Well I wouldn’t say obstacle I’d say transition meaning finding out when my daughter getting her 1st monthly women situation..Going to the store to get always with wings and not knowing what the heck I’m looking for at all lol..
What advice would you give others new on their fatherhood journey?
Always listen to your kids when they express anything to you cause kids don’t forget things like we think they do.
If you could write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?
Dear Pops, the time we did spend together it was well worth it I wish we had more time but God called you home..I don’t regret anything at all just wish you could see how big your granddaughters have gotten..
