What does being a father mean to you?

Being a father means to provide me best effort towards showing my child that his dad loves, cherishes, and understands him. Constantly communicating as well as showing that I am here for him.

Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.

My dad was present and did a good job but we were not very close.

What things did you take from your experience growing up into your own fatherhood journey?

I learned the importance of a child being able to express themselves to their parents while maintaining a respect level. My goal is to maintain composure while discovering the root cause for their behavior.

Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey?

Why yes. My ex and I separated during the pregnancy. It’s tough being away from my son as a result.

What advice would you give others new on their fatherhood journey?

Keep a level head. You are the most important piece of this puzzle. Stay strong. Embrace those emotions

If you could write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?

Dear Father,

Thanks for the lessons.
