What does being a father mean to you?
Being a father means the world to me. There is no better feeling. I love the fun it comes with and the responsibility. It has made me grow up so much and become more selfless. It has also made me focus and challenge myself more on higher levels than ever before. I love absolutely everything about Fatherhood!??✊??
Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.
I have been blessed to have my Father throughout my whole life. He is my role model and hero. He has taught me a lot growing up, kept me and my sister protected and showed me an example of a powerful, respectful man as well as human being. I have all love and respect for my father especially since he didn’t really experience having his father around as much.
What things did you take from your experience growing up into your own fatherhood journey?
I have learned a lot. To name a few, I have learned to keep my kids first no matter what. I have learned to lead by example in many aspects. I have learned that being over protective especially having a daughter can be negative but as a father protect and teach them while they’re young so that they know better and do better. I have also learned that tough love is necessary when need be.
Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey?
No I cannot say I have had any obstacles that has been challenging for me as a father but I am learning and growing everyday as a father and a person overall.
What advice would you give others new on their fatherhood journey?
Keep your kids first. Lead by example. Be patient. Last but not least, have fun and cherish every moment you have with your kids!
If you could write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?
Dear Father, I know it is not always easy but you are strong, you are powerful, and you are valued. You make an impact in your kids life that no one can ever over power. You have a role in your kids life that is just as important as the mother role. Lead by example, educate, and most important enjoy all of the luxuries of being a Father King!
