Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.

Me and father a had rough relationship until I got to the age of 14 to see what was really going on, but once I knew that I reach out to him we sat and had long talk about the “whats, why’s, where”. Then I realized he was trying his best but sometimes you can not predict what anger person would do to hurt you.This has impacted me to Stay strong and fight as hard as I can to be in my sons life no matter what. I would never want my or any child to have to go through what I had too.

What things did you take from your experience growing up into your own fatherhood journey?

I just took all the life lessons that every male figure in my life gave and started to apply it to life. I then started seeing what the difference of life was as I started to teach my son life lessons.

Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey?

My biggest obstacles was learning how to fight for my right to have my son.its a very long process and it can be so life draining when you don’t have a good support system.

What advice would you give others new on their fatherhood journey?

Be ready to love,teach and help your child as much as you can. Its ok, to fight the good fight when it come to your seed. It will be long, hard fought journey but it will get better at the end MY BROTHERS!!

If you could write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?

Dear Father, Pops i love you with all my heart. I will change the cycle. I will be better. And I do appreciate you.
