What does being a father mean to you?

Being a father to me has a special meaning to me. It’s waking up when you wanna sleep in it’s about giving my three girls everything I’ve never had. Even if it’s being uncomfortable when it comes to betting on myself by venturing into my own career sacrificing all and being selfless.

Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.

My father was in & out my life he never showed me what it’s like to be a man of his word. Many days he would tell me he’s coming to my games or taking me to the barbershop and he never showed. More busy impressing his friends then looking out for his namesake Cary Jr. It was that moment when I realized I had to be 100X better then him but I also took every lesson he didn’t show me and turned it into a positive.

What things did you take from your experience growing up into your own fatherhood journey?

I failed my first time around currently I have a 13 year old daughter and I was so out of touch with her. I had her my sophomore year of college and felt like friends and fraternity brothers were more important. It wasn’t until I had my second child charli who’s now five that I had to make changes. Her mom had some early challenges and I had to step up and that molded me alone with knowing how my father disappeared on me at so many times.

Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey?

I have multiple obstacles having three different baby mothers also having a run in with the law and relaxing I have to get everything under control or I’ll never be there for my girls

What advice would you give others new on their fatherhood journey?

Do for them without worrying what others think. Give without question and always look to learn about being a better parent

If you could write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?

Dear Father, I know your in a better place I love you but thank you because without your errors. It’s no telling where I would be.
