What does being a father mean to you?

There are a lot of titles men hold in their life none More powerful than being Called A Father! I’m 34 with 4 kids who all live with me and visit their moms on vacation and holidays I hold that title to the highest Standard.

Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.

My Dad Passed Away When I was 16 from Congestive heart failure at the age of 53 and my Only brother Passed away from something similar at the age of 31 I was 19 at the time so from losing the only two men in my family to now becoming a man and learning how to be a father without any direct relation on how to do so was tough but it’s made me 10x tougher today

What things did you take from your experience growing up into your own fatherhood journey?

One thing I took from my journey is Money can never compensate for being absent in your child’s life no matter the cost. We grow up wanting to give our kids everything we never had when all actuality we should be teaching them things we never knew! I’ve learned as a Father Time is the biggest currency

Have you had any obstacles on your fatherhood journey?

July 14 2018 I was diagnosed with Cardio myopathy which weakened my heart muscle to 8% and was told there was nothing to be done but to make me comfortable. Basically I was sentenced to death at the age of 31 I underwent a series of heart surgeries that ultimately put me on life support with out a heart best for 5days after the third surgery I got a device implanted in my chest that takes over the action of my heart cuz it no longer beats Yes I DO NOT HAVE A PULSE my heart is battery operated! I can go on about this forever if u wanna know more u can contact me

What advice would you give others new on their fatherhood journey?

Best advice I could give is to maintain the healthiest relationship possible with your kids mothers it’s almost impossible to have a healthy relationship with your child if you have a toxic relationship with their mother it won’t matter how good of a man or father you are situations like this can turn u into a different person!

If you could write a quick letter to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would you say?

Dear Father if I had to Die tomorrow I wouldn’t worry or feel cursed cuz I’ve endured enuff pain on this earth and no place could be worse…
