What does being a father mean to you?
|
---|
Describe your experience with your father growing up and how that impacted you today.
My father was the most hard working my I have ever encountered. He’s always been the same guy every day. It’s contagious and goes unnoticed. He took the time to teach my 4 brothers and I, never complained. He taught us that life is for us to take and control. I will forever be in dept with my dad!
What things did you take from your experience growing up into your own fatherhood journey?
I’ve taken the sacrifice factor as the base of fatherhood just as my father did. Knowing experiences were more rewarding that physical gifts. Family dinner no matter what the dinner may be is TOGETHER. Birthdays were celebrated as one family.
What advice would you give others new on their fatherhood journey?
To never miss a day… be greedy when spending alone time with your child. Be involved more than you can as they grow. Pay attention to how the words da da turns in to dad through out the years. Don’t be overwhelmed, pray as much as you can but know you are not alone in the journey of fatherhood.
If you wanted to write a quick note to your father, starting with “Dear Father,” what would it be?
Dear father,
Thank you for being my real life super man. Thank you for putting us first before yourself. I wish I could give you the word and all the cars you’ve ever dreamed of ( car obsession). I’m grateful for the man you’ve taught me to be and the lessons to help me become an amazing father like you! I love you!
